Updates on two major projects undertaken by the City of Garden Grove will be provided at Tuesday’s meeting  of the city council.

A progress report on the status of the $152 million Civic Center project that will include a new multi-story police building connected to a parking structure as well as a “new” Civic Center Park will be presented.

The project is located generally at Acacia Parkway and Euclid Street. The new police building and parking garage are expected to be finished by the fall of 2026 with demolition of the old building around that time.

The redesigned 2.8-acre Civic Center Park is scheduled for completion in fall 2027.

The Central Cities Navigation Center at 13871 West St. is now open and operating. It serves up to 85 homeless persons from Garden Grove, Fountain Valley and Westminster.

The council will meet at 6:30 p.m. in its chambers in the Community Meeting Center, 11300 Stanford Ave.
