EIGHT LOCAL teams will be in the CIF-SS girls’ volleyball playoffs starting this week (Shutterstock).

Girls’ CIF-SS Volleyball pairings have been announced, and first round matches for Divisions 1-3 will start on Wednesday with Divisions 4-10 on Thursday.

Here are detail for schools serving our West Orange County cities of Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Stanton and Westminster.

Huntington Beach (30-4) is seeded third in Division 1. The Oilers will be in a pool play arrangement, opening against Redondo Union High.

In Division 6, Pacifica opens on the road against Crossroads on Thursday. In Division 7, Rancho Alamitos will host St. Paul.

Division 8 action will see La Quinta host Big Bear on Thursday. Also, Western will visit Granite Hills and Garden Grove will visit Canyon Springs.

In Division 9, Bolsa Grande is at Calvary Chapel of Downey and Santiago will visit Glenn.
