EIGHT local teams will be in the CIF-SS football playoffs (Shutterstock).

Three teams from our West Orange County area schools are seeded in the draws for the CIF-SS football playoffs starting this week. Eight teams will be in the playoffs.

In Division 3, Edison (6-4) – Alpha League runner-up – is seeded third. In Division 5, Huntington Beach (6-4) – Epsilon League third place – is seeded first. In Division 11, Los Amigos (10-0) – Sigma League champion – is seeded third.

Here are the first round pairings. All games are to be played at 7 p.m. on Friday unless otherwise noted.
