With one more day – Monday – before the official Election Day, a close election seems inevitable. Each of the major presidential candidates – Vice President Kamala Harris (Democrat) and former president Donald Trump (Republican) – made several appearances on Sunday in swing states.
According to the Associated Press, Harris had four stops in Michigan. At Michigan State University, Harris assured her audience that the voting system was secure and honest. She also struck an optimistic tone.
“We have an opportunity in this election to finally turn the page on a decade of politics driven by fear and division,” she said. We are done with that. We are exhausted with that. America is ready for a fresh start, ready for a new way forward where we see our fellow American not as an enemy, but as a neighbor.”
Trump at an airport in Lititz, Pennsylvania, called Democrats “demonic’” and said he regretted leaving the White House after his 2020 defeat by Joe Biden. “I shouldn’t have left, I mean, honestly,” he said. According to The New York Times, he said, “We did so well, we had such a great” – and stopped himself.
Trump has continually made the unsupported claim that he won the 2020 vote, but was denied the victory because of widespread voter fraud.
Averages of national polls continue to show Harris narrowly ahead of Trump 49 percent to 48 percent. The latest – and last – poll of swing states by The New York Times/Siena College indicated a shift toward Harris. Of the seven, Harris now leads in Nevada, North Carolina, Wisconsin and Georgia. Pennsylvania and Michigan are tied and Trump leads in Arizona.

Kind of have to agree with the demonic part of what Trump said. Child Sacrificing tends to do that to a politician.
