FIRE SCENE on Brookhurst Street at Central Avenue in Garden Grove (OCTA).

About 75 firefighters combined early Wednesday morning to battle and finally extinguish a fire in a strip mall in Garden Grove.

The fire was reported around 3:30 a.m. in the 13200 block of Brookhurst Street (near Central Avenue). Once the firefighters from the Orange County Fire Authority knocked down the blaze, crews remained on the scene to “fully extinguish hot spots.”

Traffic on Brookhurst Street was blocked for a time.

Additionally, an aerial drone was used to check for “hot spots” from the air. There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation, according to the OCFA.
