For fans of meetings of the Westminster City Council, there’s a treat: two sessions next week.
The first will be on Monday at 5 p.m. in the council chambers (8200 Westminster Blvd.), topped by consideration of making changes in the mixed-use districts and directing city staff to rezone mobile home parks in those districts.
“Misinformation” suggesting that mobile home park residents might be evicted to make way for mixed-use developments is prompting those proposed modifications.
The other meeting will be on Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Rose Center Theater (14140 All American Way) for the administering of the oath of office to re-elected Councilmember Carlos Manzo (District 2) and newly-elected Councilman Mark Nguyen (District 3).
Additionally, the council will select a vice mayor, a post currently held by Kimberly Ho, the outgoing District 3 councilmember.
