The second and final reading of an ordinance to establish enforceable “rules of decorum and civility” for the mayor and members of the city council” goes before the Westminster City Council when it meets on Wednesday.

Approved for introduction at the Oct. 28 meeting on a 3-2 vote, the proposed ordinance is another attempt to cope with the disorder that has plagued council meetings for months.

At that meeting, voting yes were Mayor Chi Charlie Nguyen and council members Carlos Manzo and Kimberly Ho. Against were Councilmembers Amy Phan West and NamQuan Nguyen.

Ho is now off the council and the new District 3 Councilmember is Mark Nguyen, elected in November.

The council meets at 6 p.m. in its chambers at 8200 Westminster Blvd.
