The legal tug-of-war between the State of California and the City of Huntington Beach continues as a petition for a writ of mandate has been filed asking for a resolution of the conflict between the two over a requirement that voters in Surf City present identification when casting ballots.
California Attorney General Rob Bonta and Secretary of State Shirley Weber filed the motion with the California Fourth District Court of Appeal on Thursday.
At issue is the voter-approved “Measure A,” which a lower court said was “not ripe for adjudication.” A special election will be held on Feb. 25 to fill the 36th state Senate seat vacated by Janet Nguyen, who was elected to the Orange County Board of Supervisors.

Yes, you should have a California drivers license to vote for anything in the state of California or some sort of ID showing that you are a United States citizen and live in California.
How are they going to be able to cheat if they are forced to show an ID at the polls. It’s almost like that’s how this political gang stays in power over our State. Your still going to vote for these sad excuses for politicians even after they let Los Angeles burn. We could all be next of the California Barbecue plate, but you will do what ever CNN and MSNBC tell you to do, won’t you?

All voters should be registered in the jurisdiction of their residence and issued identification in the form of driver’s licenses or a state identification card. Cards should have a bar code that are scanned and recorded so as to preclude duplicate voting. If the lottery can tell you when someone wins a mega jackpot, where the ticket was purchased, i.e., place, date, time, then voting should be a breeze. Illegal voting and ballot harvesting would end.
Of course you have to have voter ID the Democrats were ranting the other day asking the guy at the department of education for his ID but is that different in my books no. An illegal person that is not an American citizen definitely should not be able to be a part of our election. You cannot go to any country in this world and not be a citizen of that particular country would let you vote in there elections. This is Ludacris. The Democrats are making up their own laws illegally. You have to have law in order. I know all they have done is made chaos for the whole country. What a mess this last four years has been putting us Americans through it just unbelievable.
If they wanna live in a communist country, they should get the hell out of here, thank God we have Trump in the White House that is doing all he can to turn this country around and back to common sense instead of chaos. God bless America.
People have to have ID for everything. They have ID for medical and for taxes also for state aid thermistor reason for not requiring ID to vote. This will allow fair elections for all.
