An investigation into the shooting in Garden Grove of a man on Friday who succumbed to his wounds on Monday is underway.
According to Sgt. Nick Jensen of the Garden Grove Police Department, the victim has been identified as Trieu Huynh, 26, a resident of Garden Grove.
The incident began on Friday at around 11:20 p.m in a parking lot near 9622 Garden Grove Blvd. where a report was made of a shooting that had just occurred.
The site of the incident is on the south side of Garden Grove Boulevard between Gilbert Street and Belfast Drive in the “Koreatown” business district.
Arriving officers found a man with a gunshot wound to the head. Police rendered medical aid until Orange County Fire Authority paramedics arrived. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he died from his wounds.
