A traffic collision involving a marked Huntington Beach police patrol vehicle on Sunday night sent six people to area hospitals with injuries.
According to Jessica Cuchilla of the Huntington Beach Police Department, the incident took place around 10:15 p.m. in the area of Beach Boulevard and Yorktown Avenue.
The city’s main police facility is located at 2000 Main Street at Yorktown Avenue, several blocks west of Beach Boulevard.
Involved were the HBPD sport utility vehicle and a Kia.
The extent of the injuries – or the identities of those hurt – has not been publicly disclosed and the accident is being investigated by the California Highway Patrol’s Westminster station.
