A woman was fatally shot early Tuesday morning in Orange, and police are seeking a suspect.
According to the Orange Police Department, the incident took place at 12:30 a.m.

The victim was driving south in a Honda sport utility vehicle on Highland Street approaching Del Mar Avenue – west of the Newport (55) Freeway – when an unknown male suspect fired “multiple rounds” into her car.

The woman was struck by the gunfire and suffered fatal wounds. A female adult passenger in the car sitting in the front seat was not hurt.

The suspect fled on foot, and additional information was not immediately available, according to police. Detectives are investigating the case and anyone who has information about the incident is asked call the OPD at (714) 744-7571.
