One-year time extensions were granted for two major projects on Thursday night by the Garden Grove Planning Commission.

The panel voted 6-0 in favor of a site plan and tentative parcel map for construction of a five-story mixed use project at the northeast corner of Garden Grove Boulevard and Brookhurst Street.

Also the commission approved by a similar vote an extension to Freedomhouse OC Church for a new religious facility – including a bible college – at the southwest corner of Katella Avenue and Euclid Street.

Additionally approved was a site plan for the construction of a free-standing steel structure for vehicle maintenance at Simpson Chevrolet (Trask Avenue and Brookhurst Street).
