Accident victim identified

A DUI suspect was arrested after a fatal traffic accident in Huntington Beach. The victim, a woman has been identified (Shutterstock).

A woman who had earlier been reported missing has been identified as the person who was killed in an accident believed by police to have been caused by a motorist allegedly driving under the influence.

According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, the victim is Caryl Marguiles, 85, of Huntington Beach.

A pedestrian, she was fatally injured in the accident on Saturday at around 6 p.m. in the area of Brookhurst Street and Crailet Drive.

The driver, a 62-year-old Costa Mesa man, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
