Honors and appeals for help were featured at Tuesday’s meeting of the Garden Grove City Council.

Also honored were leaders of the Garden Grove Strawberry Festival Association for organizing the 2025 Garden Grove Strawberry Festival Association. Steve Sanders, president of the 2026 Festival, said that an estimated record 275,000 people attended the four-day Memorial Day weekend this year.
Recognized was the Eagle Scout Flagpole installation project at the Medal of Honor Bike and Pedestrian Trail.
But much of the public comments section of the meeting was taken up by concerns expressed about raids by Immigration and Custom Enforcement agents who have detained residents of Garden Grove and other cities, in some cases allegedly without providing due process.
Councilmembers were urged to take action to protect the rights of undocumented workers. “There are plenty of workers being taken [by ICE] in Garden Grove,” said one speaker.

There was a time when the principle of due process protected people from arbitrary detention. Before then, there was the concept of habeas corpus. No more. The courts no longer protect people from being shipped off without any legal procedure. It renders the GG City Council powerless, too. The system has collapsed & a lot of people are fine with that.
There are 350K missing children and probably 1/4 of them are in Southern CA. ICE & Home Land Security is how we find them. These children are in the hands of monsters. They were trafficked in under the blind eyes of the last administration by the Cartels and sold into force Labor, the Sex Industry and to murderers that cut them up for their body organs. These kids need to be rescued and if they arrest every person on earth to find them it’s worth it. The children, that Pelosi is always belly aching about, but she’s just full of BS, Need hero’s to save them and we all need to try and be that hero.
