A pair of suspects made made it easy on Huntington Beach police last Wednesday.
According to the HBPD, around 5 p.m. on Aug. 13, police stopped a bicyclist for vehicle code violations. The rider gave a false name in the apparent belief that police couldn’t discover his real identity, or his outstanding arrest warrant.
But cops found he was in possession of marijuana and was arrested.
While booking the suspect at the HBPD jail, officers spotted another bicyclist ride right up to the police gate. He told police he was there to … “drink a beer.”
Officers discovered that he also had an outstanding warrant and arrested him as well. resulting in two arrests and the impounding of two bicycles all in one afternoon.
