An air show, parking tickets and the cost of voter ID in elections make for a crowded agenda at Tuesday’s meeting of the Huntington Beach City Council.

Before the council are several actions regarding the annual Pacific Air Show. They include:
• an agreement with Pacific Airshow LLC for management and operation of the Pacific Airshow, scheduled for Oct. 3-5 over the beach and waters of the city;

• certify an environmental impact report as adequate and complete in accordance with state law;
• give authority to the city manager and city attorney to amend an on-call contract to provide an additional $250,000 for the air show environmental impact report and additional mitigation monitoring bringing the total on-call contract to $1,100,000.

Additionally the council will be asked to direct the city clerk and city attorney to retain an elections consultant in “developing a process” for holding the 2026 city elections in keeping with voter approval of a measure requiring that voters present identification while casting a ballot.

An estimate of the cost of running the election – which had previously been done with the county Registrar of Voters – will also be sought.

Also on the agenda will be an item submitted by Councilman Chad Williams to “update” the fines for parking violations and direct the additional revenue 70 percent to the police department and 30 percent to the fire department.

The council will meet in its chambers at 2000 Main St. with a closed session at 5 p.m. and the regular meeting at 6 p.m.
