
THREE persons and a cat were evacuated from a house on Chinook Avenue in Westminster on Thursday morning. The garage blaze was knocked down by Orange County Fire Authority firefighters, who were able to keep the blaze from spreading to the rest of the home. One person was hospitalized (OCFA/OC Hawk).
Three persons escaped from a garage fire in Westminster on Thursday morning.
According to the Orange County Fire Authority – which provides fire and paramedic service to Garden Grove, Stanton and Westminster – the alarm came in around 9 a.m. to the home in the 6100 block of Chinook Avenue.
There were three people in the home at the time. One was able to escape through the window, a second person was rescued by Westminster police and a third by OCFA personnel. That person was treated at the scene and taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
Also rescued was a cat. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
