
A “ROAD RAGE” incident let to an arrest for assault with a deadly weapon in Westminster (Shutterstock).
What police described as a “road rage incident” started on a street in Santa Ana. proceeded to Westminster and ended up in the arrest of an Anaheim man in Garden Grove on Saturday.
According to Sgt. Norma Vasquez-Phan of the Westminster Police Department, arrested for assault with a deadly weapon was Hoang Nguyen, 43, of Anaheim.
The victim told police that the incident began in the city of Santa Ana. The suspect allegedly became upset after the victim honked his vehicle’s horn at him.
The suspect, who was driving a black Toyota Camry, followed the victim to the area of Bolsa Avenue and Moran Street in Westminster.
At an intersection, the victim stopped and the suspect pulled up to him and made an insulting gesture.
The suspect then allegedly pointed a small black gun at the victim. The vehicle was last seen traveling southbound in the area.
Officers responded to a residence in Garden Grove where the suspect and a witness were located, the former being placed under arrest.
He was booked into Orange County Jail for ADW.
