The selection of a consultant for the design and development of an archway for the Little Saigon district and the appointment of a member to the planning commission are on the agenda for Wednesday’s meeting of the Westminster City Council.
A study session is scheduled for 3 p.m. followed by a closed session at 5 p.m. The open session will commence at 6 p.m.
The recommendation for the archway is MIG, an landscape architecture firm.
The planning commission opening comes in the wake of the resignation of Tony Bui, a nominee of Councilmember NamQuan Nguyen (District 4).
Those who have applied to fill this seat are Laura Rose, Ashton Kauwe, Donald Lank, Charles Nguyen and Anh Nguyen.
Applicants for the seat of the Citizen’s Oversight Committee (Measures Y and E) are Ruth Piker and Thanh Dang.
The council will meet at 8200 Westminster Blvd.
