A bicyclist who pedaled away from an attempted vehicle stop by Westminster police was arrested on drug and other charges Tuesday night.
According to the WPD, the incident began around 11 p.m. in the area of Bolsa Avenue and Purdy Street. A pursuit developed but the rider was eventually taken into custody.
A records check upon the suspect – who was not identified – revealed that he had seven outstanding felony warrants, including several for drug sales and being in possession of a firearm.
Additionally, the suspect was found to be in possession of 200 grams of methamphetamine, 15 grams of fentanyl and other items “indicative of drug sales.”
He was booked into Orange County Jail for drug sales, the warrants and evading arrest.
