The battling nations of Russia and Ukraine were told to “stop where they are” to end their war by President Donald Trump after a meeting Friday in the White House with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

According to the Associated Press, the president made this post on his Truth Social: “Enough blood has been shed, its property lines being defined by War and Guts. They should stop where they are. Let both claim victory, let History decide.”

He added, “You go by the line wherever it is – otherwise it’s too complicated.”

That would mean Russia being allowed to keep territory in southeastern Ukraine it now occupies, something Zelensky has has vowed in the past never to agree to.

Santos’sentence commuted by Trump

GEORGE SANTOS

The prison sentence of former Congressman George Santos (R-New York) has been ordered commuted by President Donald Trump.

The New York Times reported that he felt that Santos, who was serving a sentence of 10 years, was “horribly mistreated.”

Santos will have served less than three months of his 87-month sentence after being convicted of wire fraud and aggravated identify theft. He also won’t have to pay the restitution he was ordered to make of about $376,000 to victims of his actions.

When numerous falsehoods were exposed, he was indicted by the State of New York and expelled from the House of Representatives in 2023.

NY Young Republicans disbanded

After excerpts from offensive comments on a group chat were revealed, New York Republican Party leaders voted on Friday to disband the Empire State’s Young Republican group.

According to United Press International, the postings – which also included comments from Republicans from Arizona, Kansas and Vermont – included messages such as “I Love Hitler” and speaking approvingly of rape and sending political opponents to “gas chambers.”
