Four local high school baseball teams are league champions and can look forward to the CIF-SS playoffs starting next week.
Huntington Beach – ranked number one in Orange County – is the Sunset League winner. The Oilers had a 16-2 league mark and are 20-6-2 overall.
Tied for third in the Sunset are Edison and Marina, each with 8-10 SL records.
Pacifica finished third in the Freeway League with a 6-4 conference record and is likely to get a playoff berth.
Garden Grove won the Orange Coast League. The Argonauts are 9-1 in league and 15-8 overall. Westminster finished third in the OCL.
Los Amigos grabbed the Orange League crown, winning nine of 11 league games, and finishing 17-8 overall.
The Orange Panthers finished first in the Grove League, going 10-1 in league and 17-9 overall. Rancho Alamitos finished third.
The CIF-SS brackets for baseball will be announced on Saturday, May 9 at 1 p.m.
