The Rancho Alamitos baseball team is headed for the CIF-SS Division 8 semifinals.

It was a 4-2 win over Chadwick on Friday that launched the Vaqueros into the final four. The green-and -gold will face Oxford Academy of Cypress on Tuesday. The Patriots are 12-18 overall but were 8-2 in the 605 League.

Rancho is 14-11 and finished third in the Grove League at 7-5.

In Division 9 baseball play, Santiago lost 6-3 to Temecula Prep. The Cavaliers finish with a 10-17 overall mark, but were 7-5 in the Orange League (tied for first with Magnolia).

Division 4 action saw Marina lose 4-2 to Grand Terrace. The Vikings had an overall 15-16 record and were 8-10 (good for third in the Sunset League).
