Special mtg. Thursday on GKN

A special meeting of the Garden Grove City Council will be held on Thursday, June 4 at 4:30 p.m. at the Community Center to provide an update on the latest cleanup efforts in the aftermath of the GKN chemical leak crisis that occurred recently.

The meeting will be broadcast live and can be viewed at ggcity.org/ggtv-live.

According to Mayor Stephanie Klopfenstein, the council will consider a “formal communication to GKN [Aerospace] demanding accountability.”

Additionally, the Orange County Resilience Fund is accepting applications for residents affected by the recent evacuations.

To apply, call 2-1-1. Select Option 7. Then provide basic information including your name, address, and agree to participate in the program.

A member of the 2-1-1 team will follow up with you to complete the eligibility review process.

The Community Meeting Center is located at 10331 Stanford Ave. (across the street from Garden Grove High School).
