Money — as is often the case with all cities – will be on the agenda of the Stanton City Council when it meets on Tuesday night.

The council will take up a proposed 2.5 percent “cost of living” pay adjustment for City Manager Hannah Shin-Heydorn. That will raise her annual salary to $302,244, effective July 5, 2026.
That’s an increase of about $17,108.

Also, the council will consider an amendment to an agreement with The Retail Coach to provide retail market analysis and retail recruitment services for the city.

This will be the second year of the agreement which would extend the deal through June 30, 2027 at an additional cost of $23,000.

Additionally, the city council will consider appropriation of $75,000 for the demolition and abatement of property located at 8941 Pacific Ave., which has been the focus of community complaints which led to the city’s declaration of a homelessness state of emergency.

The council will meet on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall at 7800 Katella Ave.
