A “cold case” of a fatal shooting in Stanton that took place in 2024 is being revived.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department – which provides police services for Stanton – is asking the public’s help in solving the Dec. 20, 2024 killing of Jonathan Alexis Jimenez, 19.

According to OCSD, Jimenez was shot in the 11400 block of Court Street at around 4:20 p.m. Witnesses say they saw four subjects approach the victim. One of them reportedly pulled a firearm and began shooting at the victim. The four were then seen fleeing the area.
