
A GARDEN GROVE man has been arrested and charged with the murder of his live-in girlfriend (Shutter(Shutterstock).
The 18-year-old boyfriend of his 17-year-old girlfriend has been arrested for her homicide in Garden Grove.
According to Sgt. Terra Ramirez, public information officer for the GGPD, jailed was Ethan Vidal, a Garden Grove resident. The victim was Janely Gutierrez, also a resident of Garden Grove.
The incident took place in the 8800 block of Hewitt Place (northwest of Westminster Avenue and Magnolia Street).
On Sunday, Aug. 9 at 11:32, p.m., GGPD officers were sent to the Hewitt street address with regards to a medical aid for a female bleeding from the head.
They found the victim bleeding “profusely” from the head area. She was taken to a nearby hospital in “grave” condition.
The victim and Vidal – her live-in boyfriend – had been involved in an altercation. He spoke with police and was taken into custody for attempted suicide.
On Monday, Aug. 10, the victim was pronounced deceased and Vidal was charged with homicide.
Details of the incident are in the process of being determined.
