Week Six of high school football action for our West Orange County cities’ teams means the start of league action for most teams.

The schedule includes one game between two 5-0 teams (El Modena vs. Huntington Beach) and two games between a 5-0 team and an 0-5 team (Dana Hills vs. Western and Rancho Alamitos vs. Saddleback).

There are regional rivalries (Pacifica at 5-0 against Cypress 4-1) and a game to see if Edison (2-3), usually the top team in the area, can scramble back to .500 in the Chargers’ Alpha League opener against Mission Viejo (4-1).

Here’s the schedule. All games are scheduled for a 7 p.m. start, but times. dates, etc. are subject to change without notice.
