EDISON is second in the CIF-SS D-3 poll and ranked at the top of the Tribune’s High 5.

A dozen local high school sports are ranked or otherwise recognized in the latest CIF-SS polls.

Boys’ water polo: Huntington Beach is second in Division 1.

Football: Edison is second in Division 3. Huntington Beach wasn’t ranked in D-7, but did get some votes. Garden Grove is fifth in D-8, and two teams – La Quinta and Ocean View received some votes in D-13.

Girls’ cross country: Fountain Valley is 10th in Division 1. Bolsa Grande is 13th in Division 3.

Girls’ tennis: Garden Grove is ninth in Division 3.

Girls’ volleyball: Huntington Beach is sixth in Division 1. Garden Grove is fourth in D-7 and Westminster is 10th in D-8.
