
A BAN on the sale of non-medical marijuana will be part of a study session of the Huntington Beach Planning Commission on Tuesday, July 11.
A study session on a proposal to ban commercial and recreational sales and delivery of non-medical marijuana goes before the Huntington Beach Planning Commission it meets Tuesday at 5:15 p.m. in the council chambers.
Also to be considered are regulations regarding the cultivation of non-medical marijuana in the city. While voters have approved the sales and use of marijuana in California, cities have the option to ban the sales of cannabis within city limits and well as place restrictions on its cultivation.
Also on the agenda is a proposal to build a development that would include a community dock, floating pedestrian ramp, a two-story marina building and more on a now-vacant lot at 16926 Park Avenue in the Huntington Harbour area.
The council chambers are located in the Civic Center at 2000 Main St., at Yorktown Avenue.
