A fire damages a car in garage

FIREFIGHTERS from three agencies knocked down a a garage fire in Huntington Beach.

Investigators are looking into the cause of a fire that damaged a car parked in the garage of a home in Huntington Beach early Tuesday morning. According to the HB Fire Department, the blaze was reported at 3:01 a.m. at 16852 Marinbay Drive.

Arriving units saw heavy smoke coming from the garage of a single family home. The three residents had been alerted to the fire by a neighbor and evacuated. Firefighters forced an entry through the garage door and pulled hoses into the garage and through the front door to perform a search and check to see if the fire had spread. The flames were isolated to the car.

A total of 12 units responded to the fire, including those from Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley and the Orange County Fire Authority.
