Woman, 58, killed crossing a street

A 58-YEAR-OLD woman died after being struck by an auto while she was walking across a street in Huntington Beach Thursday night.

An investigation is underway into the death of a 58-year-old Huntington Beach woman who died after being struck by a car while walking across a street in Huntington Beach Thursday night.

According to Sgt. Julio Mendez of the HBPD’s Traffic Unit, the incident took place in the area of Goldenwest Street and Tuscana Drive around 7:43 p.m.

The deceased woman was walking across Goldenwest Street when she was hit by a sport utility vehicle driven by a 55-year-old Huntington Beach woman. The name of the decedent won’t be released until her family has been notified.

The driver of the Nissan Rogue remained at the scene, according to police, and was cooperative. No arrest was made.
