The issue of theft and scavenging of recycling materials from garbage cans on city streets will again be on the agenda for the Garden Grove City Council when it meets on Tuesday.
First brought up at the Nov. 14 meeting by Councilman Kris Beard (District 1), the topic led to a discussion of how widespread the problem was, the legalities of the matter and possible means of enforcement of the law.
• a community spotlight in recognition of Missy Mendoza, 2017 Miss Garden Grove, and her court.
• the second and final reading of an ordinance amending the city code setting out standards for entertainment and alcohol sales in the mixed use area of the civic center mixed use areas.
The council meets at 6:30 p.m. in its chambers in the Community Meeting Center, 11300 Stanford Ave.
