A SECOND PERSON is dead after Thursday’s three-car crash on the Garden Grove Freeway.

Thursday’s three-car crash on the Garden Grove Freeway has claimed another victim. According to the Orange County Coroner’s office, Charlotte Nugent, 68, of Seal Beach died at UCI Medical Center in Orange after suffering injuries in the collision.

The coroner’s office also released the name of the man dead at the scene of the crash – Raul Vazquez, Jr., 50, of Santa Ana.

In the accident, a collision on the freeway before 7 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near Beach Boulevard put two cars by the side of the road, according to the Garden Grove Fire Department. One of the people in the cars – Vazquez – got out of his vehicle after pulling over and was struck by a passing automobile, which then hit  a wall and created a chain reaction three-vehicle crash.
