Opening this weekend in local cinemas:
- “Annihilation”: A mysterious phenomenon pops up on the coastline, and a team of soldiers – along with a biologist – is sent in to investigate. Natalie Portman stars. This sci-fi/suspense/thriller film is rated R.
- “Game Night”: A weekly fun event which looks like a spoof turns out to be something else. Starring Rachel McAdams, Kyle Chandler and Jason Bateman. This R-rated film is an action/adventure/comedy.

EVENTS
Well, this isn’t necessarily entertainment, but there is “Coffee With the Mayor” on Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. offers a chance to have a cup of Joe with Huntington Beach Mayor Mike Posey at the Chick-Fil-A at 16388 Beach Blvd. (technically in Westminster, but …).
