Two local high school sports teams are ranked number one in their divisions in Monday’s CIF-SS polls of spring sports. Huntington Beach High’s baseball team is rated atop Division 1, and Garden Grove High’s boys’ volleyball team is the leader in Division 5.
Overall, 12 teams from the Garden Grove-Huntington Beach-Westminster area were ranked or received some votes in this week’s poll.
- Boys’ volleyball: Huntington Beach is fifth in Division 5, Bolsa Grande has some votes in Division 3, Rancho Alamitos is fifth in Division 4 and in Division 5, Garden Grove is in first and Orangewood Academy is 10th.
- Softball:Edison has some votes in Division 2, and Westminster is fourth in Division 7.
- Baseball:Huntington Beach is first in Division 1, Pacifica is 10th in Division 3, La Quinta is fourth in Division 4, Rancho Alamitos is fifth in Division 5 and Bolsa Grande is fourth in Division 7.
