Stabbing suicide blamed for man’s death

A 33-YEAR-OLD man in Garden Grove is an apparent suicide, say police.

An apparent suicide has taken the life of a 33-year-old man in Garden Grove. According to GGPD Sgt. Rich Burillo, the incident took place around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday in the 12000 block of West Street.

Police were summoned to that location regarding a report of a man not breathing. Arriving officers and firefighters from the Garden Grove Fire Department found that the man inside of a camper trailer parked in the driveway on the side of the home, deceased.

He had sustained a a “possible stab wound” to the upper chest area. Based on their investigation and interviews, it was determined by police that the incident was a suicide, although an investigation is ongoing.

Identity of the man is being withheld pending notification of the man’s family.
