A drive-by shooting wounded two persons in Garden Grove early Saturday morning.

According to Sgt. Charlie Loffler of the GGPD, the incident took place around 2:22 a.m. in the area of Barclay Street and Maureen Drive. That’s south of Katella Avenue between Brookhurst and Euclid streets.

The two victims – a 35-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman – were located by police as they tried to drive themselves to a hospital. They were taken to a nearby hospital and they are expected to survive.

Before the shooting, a male suspect arrived at the location in a dark sedan. He got out of the car and fired several rounds at the two victims, who were standing near the corner of Barclay and Maureen. The shooter then fled in his vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing and no suspect information is available. Witnesses to the incident are asked to call (714) 741-5856.
