Man shot as he walks along street

A MAN was shot in the leg as he walked along Magnolia Street in Garden Grove early Wednesday morning (Shutterstock).

A gunshot wound in Garden Grove early Wednesday morning sent a man to the hospital.

According to Sgt. Juan Delgado of the GGPD, the incident took place in the 12000 block of Magnolia Street – between Chapman and Lampson avenues – around 12:09 a.m. Officers were sent to that location regarding a shooting and they found a male Asian adult who had been shot in the leg.

The victim was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange and is expected to survive. He had been walking southbound on Magnolia when he was approached by the suspect and shot.

The suspect – described as a male Hispanic or Samoan, 20 to 30 years old – fled in a dark colored truck.
