Coronavirus cases at 348

NEW CASES of COVID-19 for Orange County reported for Thursday are at 348 (Shutterstock).

Thursday’s tally of new COVID-19 cases reported to the Orange County Health Care Agency was 348. There were 24 deaths. The new to-date total for Orange County cases is 42,171, of which 32,984 are considered recovered. The death total is 769.

The test positivity figure is at 7.6 percent, down slightly from Wednesday and still within the goal of 8 percent. “Positivity” refers to that portion of people tested who end up being positive for the coronavirus, regardless of whether they have symptoms.

Here is a list of the OC cities with the most cases. Deaths are in parentheses.

  • Santa Ana: 8,183 (202).
  • Anaheim: 7,186 (180)
  • Garden Grove: 2,289 (35).
  • Orange: 1,935 (26).
  • Huntington Beach: 1,878 (56).

Westminster has 765 cases and 20 deaths; Stanton has 521 cases and seven deaths.
