Cases drop for the fourth day

ORANGE COUNTY coronavirus numbers have declined for four days, the OCHCA’s stats show (Shutterstock).

The number of new coronavirus cases dropped in Orange County for the fourth consecutive day, but other measures of the status of the COVID-19 are mixed.

According to the county health care agency, new cases in Wednesday’s report fell to 233, compared to 255 on Tuesday. However, deaths rose from seven to 13.

The total of cases hospitalized stands at 177, up from 157 on Tuesday and those in intensive care units went from Tuesday’s total of 56 to 60 on Wednesday.

Here is the list of Orange County cities with the most cases. Deaths are in parentheses.

  • Santa Ana: 11,444 (314)
  • Anaheim: 10,122 (314)
  • Garden Grove: 3,244 (105)
  • Orange: 2,746 (71)
  • Huntington Beach: 2,589 (86).

Westminster has 1,151 cases and 31 deaths. Stanton has 722 cases and 17 deaths.
