Detectives investigate death

THE BODY of a man was found in a residence in Santa Ana Saturday night (Shutterstock).

Detectives are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a home in Santa Ana Saturday evening.

According to the SAPD, officers responded to a call at 6:46 p.m. of a deceased male in the 1800 block of West 18th Street. That’s west of the Bristol Marketplace, not far from Santa Ana College. They found the victim in the living room with “significant trauma to his upper torso.”

Orange County Fire Authority paramedics responded and pronounced him deceased. SAPD detectives concluded the death was a homicide.

The identity of the man is unknown pending identification by the Orange County Coroner’s office. Anyone who has information about this case is asked to call SAPD Homicide Section detectives at (714) 245-8390.
