New cases and deaths decline

NEW CORONAVIRUS cases in Orange County declined on Wednesday (Shutterstock).

Confirmed new cases of coronavirus, as well as deaths, declined in Wednesday’s count by the Orange County Health Care Agency.

New cases fell from 131 on Tuesday to 75 on Wednesday. Deaths went from 12 to seven.

However, the number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 rose from 107 to 114, and patients being treated for the virus in intensive care units went from 23 to 29.

The cumulative total of cases is now at 251,516, of which 243,771 are considered recovered. Deaths are at 4,791.

  • Santa Ana: 44,597 (834)
  • Anaheim: 41,577 (834)
  • Garden Grove: 16,486 (375)
  • Orange: 11,789 (245)
  • Fullerton: 11,271 (290)
  • Huntington Beach: 10,577 (209)
  • Irvine: 10,463 (83)

Westminster has had 7,103 cases and 198 deaths. Stanton has had 3,149 cases and 66 deaths.
