The arc of coronavirus pandemic statistics in Orange County is continuing to bend toward recovery.
Wednesday’s report from the county health care agency showed three of the four major metrics declining and the fourth staying in place. New confirmed cases slid from 58 on Tuesday to 42 today. Deaths fell from nine to six.
To-date, there have been 254,457 cases in the OC, of which 247,525 are considered to be recovered. Deaths are at 5,023.
Nationally, the New York Times is reporting that – over a 14-day period – new cases declined by 29 percent and deaths dropped by 10 percent. In California, the Los Angeles Times is counting an 8 percent reduction in new cases and deaths down 16 percent.
