A FIRE THURSDAY night in Westminster on Stahov Avenue (OCFA photo).

Three pets were rescued from a fire Thursday night in Westminster, but a fourth perished.

According to the Orange County Fire Authority, the blaze was reported at 8:46 p.m. at a single-family home in the 7100 block of Stahov Ave. (northeast of Goldenwest Street and Trask Avenue).

Firefighters saved two dogs and a cat but a third dog died. One adult was taken to a local hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
