ANAHEIM police are asking the public’s help in identifying a potential witness to a fatal shooting early Sunday morning on W. Colchester Drive (APD photo).

Anaheim police homicide detectives are asking for assistance from the public in identifying a possible witness to a homicide.

On Sunday, June 27, at about 12:15 a.m. 17-year-old male resident of Anaheim, Johnny Avalos, was shot and killed in the 2200 block of W. Colchester Drive, in Anaheim. Anaheim PD homicide detectives are attempting to identify the driver of the vehicle pictured, described as a dark colored pickup truck, towing a small trailer. 

The driver of this vehicle is believed to be a witness, and is not a suspect. Anyone with information on this vehicle is encouraged to contact APD Homicide Detective Gell at (714) 765-1417.
