Man, 36, shot in head Friday

A MAN is in critical condition after being shot in the head in Garden Grove Friday afternoon (Shutterstock).

A man is in critical condition from a gunshot wound to the head in Garden Grove, and two “subjects of interest” have been detained for questioning.

According to Detective Sgt. Evan Beresford of the GGPD, officers were sent to a home in the 14000 block of Clinton Street at about 4:40 p.m. on Friday in response to a report of shots fired.

Arriving officers found the victim, a 36-year-old man, with a single gunshot wound to the head. After treatment at the scene the victim was transported to a local hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

Suspects fled before officers arrived.

Two persons from Santa Ana are being questioned. Identification of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family.

The investigation is ongoing and witnesses with information about the incident are asked to contact the GGPD by calling Detective Steve Heine at (714) 741-5422.
