The building boom along Beach Boulevard in Stanton continues as the city council considers a 79-unit townhome project at Tuesday’s meeting.

A public hearing is scheduled for the council to consider a site plan, conditional use permit and associated permissions and actions for the construction of the development proposed for 12200 Beach (southeast of Chapman Avenue). The project would include seven units priced for low-income residents.

Also on the agenda are:

  • renewal of authorization for virtual public meetings;
  • second reading and final approval of amendments to the municipal code’s regulations for accessory dwelling units and junior accessory dwelling units;
  • a purchase and sale agreement for property at 10692 and 10712 Beach Boulevard, both north of Pacific Street on the east side of Beach.

A closed session will commence at 6 p.m. and the public session at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held via teleconference.
