ADDING THREE karaoke rooms into a bowling alley was approved Thursday by the Garden Grove Planning Commission (Shutterstock).

A conditional use permit to allow three karaoke rooms to be included as part of a renovated bowling alley in West Garden Grove was approved unanimously by the Garden Grove Planning Commission on Thursday night.

The permit was requested by Mira Mesa Lanes, LLC for the project in the West Grove Center, 12141 Valley View St. The karaoke rooms will occupy a portion of the former AMF Bowling Alley facility.

Also approved unanimously was a one-year extension for a previously approved 500-square foot expansion to the Hyundai of Garden Grove car dealership at Trask Avenue and Brookhurst Street.
