A new president and chief executive officer has been chosen to lead the Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce.
The chamber announced on Wednesday that Claudette J. Baldemor had been selected for the position, succeeding Cindy Spindle, who retired from that post after eight years.
Baldemor comes to Garden Grove after 15 years of service to the Long Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau where she was membership director.
Currently, she serves as vice chair and chief operating officer for Jars Ministries, a faith-based non-profit organization founded by her father, Rev. Dr. Oscar Baldemor.
“We know Claudette will lead the chamber in the right direction,” said executive committee chair Jon Glant.
